What started as a part-time side hustle has become a bustling business based in Ramsey, Minnesota.
Quad Logic is an international supplier of aftermarket parts and accessories. While the company builds and sources aftermarket products for Polaris and Can-Am ATVs and UTVs – it also stocks hard-to-find parts below dealer prices.
Quad Logic’s Aftermarket Products
It’s celebrating 12 years in business. Its owner, Robb Johnson, has worked in the business full-time for about ten years and has built quite a following.
“Our customers are ATV or UTV owners who want to save a little bit of money and fix their machines themselves,” said Robb. “We offer a better product at a great price, and they can save a ton of money by going through us.”
In addition to selling parts, Quad Logic creates its own. Engineers develop, test, and use Quad Logic’s products to ensure they meet or beat original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications.
“We do all the design and development in-house to make your machine better, faster, more fun and more usable,” he said.
The idea to build Quad Logic came to Robb after he noticed a gap in the market when it came to accessible and cost-effective aftermarket parts. He’s been a powersports enthusiast for his whole life and worked in various roles in the powersports industry. When he saw a niche in the market for replacement parts he decided to dive in.
21st’s Commercial Building Financing
In 2019, the Ham Lake native worked with 21st Century Bank to purchase a 15,000-square-foot property to serve as the company’s office, showroom, and warehouse.
“We first met Robb when he was looking for financing on the building,” said Ryan Sundeen, a lender and senior vice president. “That’s our expertise, dealing with SBA products. And we know how to navigate that process.”
He set Quad Logic up with a part-conventional, part-Small Business Administration SBA 504 loan. “I’ve never had an SBA loan before. And luckily, I didn’t have to know much about it because they just took care of it. They made the process really simple,” said Robb of the partnership.
That evolved into multiple bank accounts and other services with 21st.” The organization later added two checking accounts, a money market account and regular international wires.
Today, Quad Logic has 15 team members and sells parts all over the world. There’s extra space on their property for expansion – one the supplier will pursue in the future as it continues to add more products.
