As the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board, Tom’s role is to protect and monitor the mission of 21st Century Bank; eliciting a feeling of goodwill within all who know of us. His focus on safety and soundness, coupled with his leadership, ensures 21st Century Bank weathers economic tides, including the recent Great Recession.
Having been at the bank for more than 40 years, Tom has been an integral part of transforming 21st Century Bank from a small rural bank with $3M in assets to an urban financial network with more than $425M in assets. He attributes the significant growth to the ability of the 21st Century Bank team to know, anticipate and meet the needs of our current and potential customers.
What interests me the most about lending is working with smaller investors and helping them to grow. Knowledge of my field, quick decision making, and a willingness to look at other perspectives and approaches to doing things.

A dedicated member of the 21st Century Bank team since the spring of 2016, Brian offers 17 years of experience as a commercial loan officer for three institutions in the finance industry. He worked for a large regional bank with assets over $4 billion and a small community bank with $100 million in assets. Brian focuses on investment and commercial real estate, with a specialization in multi-family housing.
Brian has learned that taking the time to listen and answer every question is critical to achieving a customer’s financial goals.
Helping entrepreneurs chase their dreams and become business owners is what makes commercial lending so satisfying.

With an extensive background in commercial and SBA lending, Todd has been helping business owners solve complex problems through maximizing cash flow strategies and reducing interest costs for almost 20 years.
Todd specializes in manufacturing, commercial real estate, professional practices (wealth management firms, chiropractors, certified public accounts, attorneys), and non-profits. He takes pride in helping entrepreneurs become business owners. His goal is to ensure all financial and banking needs are addressed upfront while providing continuous and ongoing follow up to ensure the client’s needs are 150% met and satisfied.
Todd joined 21st Century Bank because he believes there is a commitment within the bank to ensure the financial prosperity of each customer and a team approach to providing timely solutions.

With over 18 years in the financial industry, Travis has had the opportunity to work with a variety of businesses, and at all stages from start-up to seasoned companies. He believes it is important to maintain contact with your customers to ensure he can be that business/banking advisor. Travis came on-board with 21st Century Bank in December of 2017, to be a part of our expanded service in the east metro. He is looking forward to helping small businesses grow and prosper in the community.
Travis is a active member of River Heights Chamber of Commerce and sits on the Progress Plus board which helps new and established businesses bring new business to the River Heights area.

Rick has a wealth of knowledge and experience, serving as a bank CFO for more than 20 years. At 21st Century Bank, he is responsible for finance and accounting, regulatory oversight, and technology development and management.
Rick has worked in local community banks for more than 35 years, providing consulting services in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, strategy development and implementation, operational improvement and board governance.
Todd is currently the Senior Vice President of Credit and manages the credit and SBA departments for 21st Century Bank. In this role, he is responsible for credit quality for all new and existing relationships for commercial and SBA clients.
A seasoned financier with almost 20 years of commercial banking experience, Todd has held various positions including Credit Analyst, Commercial & SBA Lender, Special Assets Manager and SBA Director of Operations. Coupled with extensive experience, he possesses a strong knowledge of credit along with an understanding of the sales side of each transaction.
Each customer and prospective client has a goal or a dream. It’s my job to help them realize that goal or dream by leading them down the right financial path.

Jeff has worked as a commercial lender and credit analyst before joining the 21st Century Bank. He specializes in investment real estate and small business/SBA loans.
During his 17 years in the banking industry, Jeff has learned that competence, trust, reliability, and clear communication of expectations allows the customer’s perspective to be better understood, inevitably enabling him to serve them more efficiently.
Jeff believes that customers have a plethora of choices when it comes to financing. At 21st Century Bank, we are taking that extra step, steering them in the right direction, as partners, not bankers.
A customer can get banking services from so many places today. So I look at each loan transaction and each customer relationship with respect. Tom has worked in his family’s bank, in several capacities for over 20 years. Before working full time at 21st Century Bank in 2006, he attended the University of St Thomas School of Law, obtaining a Juris Doctorate in 2006. He earned his Minnesota Real Estate Broker’s License in 2014 and is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors and the Minnesota Association of Realtors.

Bringing a unique perspective to the 21st Century Bank team, Gregg has more than 20 years of business experience serving as a certified public accountant, chief financial officer for several corporations and a hotel general manager before coming on board in 2006.
Gregg has extensive experience in SBA lending and is resourceful in providing conventional financing options. He specializes in small business acquisitions, expansion of existing businesses, real estate purchases and debt consolidation of business loans. Gregg leans on his prior experience as a CPA and CFO, which give him insight into the customer’s side of their business, which most bankers do not have.
Gregg was instrumental in assisting small businesses during the recession when other lending organizations were not in a position to help. He prides himself on working with businesses when times are tough, not just when things are going smoothly.
Gregg is on the board and is an active member of the Minnesota Black Chamber of Commerce.

With 30 years in the banking Industry as Area Manager, Branch Manager, Relationship Manager, and Teller, Joan Wood brings a broad range of experience and proven success. She has worked with a variety of businesses and clients from all occupations collaborating with her colleagues to establish relationships so that they receive the ultimate customer experience.
Joan emphasizes the importance of a warm and friendly approach when dealing with customers showing sincere interest in them, asking questions, and then LISTENING to them so that she understands their needs, which in turn is an essential step in building trust. As a banker, Sarah brings over 22 years of industry experience, working all sides of retail and operations. Carol has been with 21st Century Bank nearly 20 years serving in several roles including a private banker, loan portfolio manager, and office manager.
