Brian Fairchild

SVP Market President

“Close-knit relationships are the backbone of my work here at 21st Century Bank. Customers come to us because loan requests move in front of our decision-makers quickly –when we say ‘yes,’ we mean it. They come for competitive solutions and stay for the small bank customer service.”

As our Senior Vice President and Market President, Brian Fairchild leads investment property lending here at 21st Century Bank. He was named our Lender of the Year in both 2022 and 2025 based on loan volume – and we’re grateful to have him on the team.

Brian understands that the successful purchase of investment properties is about far more than interest rates. It’s about reliability, preparation, and persistence. Brian has personally served hundreds of customers, earning him a reputation as a trusted partner for investors navigating the Twin Cities market.

With over two decades of experience in commercial lending, Brian specializes exclusively in investment and commercial real estate, with a focus on multifamily housing, office space, storage, and industrial buildings. He believes in educating clients and providing a realistic view of property ownership. “I tell my clients to expect the unexpected,” Brian said. “Whether it is a busted pipe or a leaky roof, I want my customers to have the liquidity and plan in place to handle challenges before they happen.”

Brian’s path to banking was shaped by the discipline of a competitive athlete. A former collegiate soccer player at the University of North Carolina at Asheville, he earned a double major in Financial Management and Financial Economics in four years. That “get it done” mentality, instilled by his father, a United States Marine, continues to define his approach to lending today. He is known for his transparency and commitment to the 21st Century Bank work family, prioritizing long-term relationships over one-off transactions.

One of Brian’s greatest strengths is consistency. Brian has maintained a loyal client base for nearly twenty years and prides himself on the bank’s ability to follow through on commitments without the last-minute hurdles often found at larger institutions.

Looking ahead, Brian is focused on helping investors find value in a changing economic landscape while exploring opportunities in the retail and industrial sectors. For Brian, the most rewarding part of the job is seeing his clients grow their portfolios through smart, conservative underwriting and honest communication.
