Josh DeBoer

Josh DeBoer, SVP of Commercial Lending at 21^st Century Bank, has built his career in the banking industry brick by brick.

Twenty years ago, Josh graduated with a degree in business administration and finance from Christopher Newport University and began working as a personal banker. He then expanded his understanding of banking across several roles, including working as a financial analyst, credit analyst, and commercial lender, managing a $130M portfolio.

“I love the strategy behind lending. Even more than that, I love working with people — hearing the stories of small business owners and helping them grow what they’ve built. It’s so rewarding,” he said. “No two businesses are alike, and 21^st Century Bank’s ability to tailor banking products and services to customers’ unique needs makes this work meaningful.”

Josh has immersed himself in commercial lending, gaining a deep understanding of businesses across various industries, with verticals including industrial, manufacturing, distribution, and professional services. Josh is excited to provide strategic support and hands-on service to the small to mid-sized businesses served by 21^st Century Bank.

Josh lives in St. Michael with his wife, Alli, and their two children, Beckett and Everly. When he’s not working, you’ll find him on the golf course — or on the sidelines coaching his kids’ baseball, football, or softball games.
