Justin Betzold

With a robust background in community banking and lending – and a formal education in finance and management – commercial lender Justin Betzold is a knowledgeable and valued member of the 21^st Century Bank team.

Justin proudly brings 20+ years of experience to 21^st. He graduated from University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a degree in finance and management, and while in college, he completed a hands-on internship at a small commercial bank. He then started at a community bank upon his graduation. This laid the foundation for a successful banking career.

The dynamic nature of banking and lending helps Justin thrive. “Every day brings something new,” Justin said. He enjoys the challenges of his career, as well as the opportunity to be of service. It’s the customer relationships that add the most enjoyment to Justin’s day-to-day. He loves helping entrepreneurs establish, scale or acquire a business.

He specializes in both commercial real estate and commercial & industrial (CNI) lending, and Justin’s diverse past experience have made him adept at problem-solving as he support his clients in securing loans. His approach is hands-on, ensuring that each client receives personalized attention and tailored solutions. Justin believes in building trusting relationships with clients by providing exceptional customer service alongside clear communication. At 21st Century Bank, Justin is excited to continue making a difference.

Justin appreciates the bank’s company culture. “You can feel the positivity top-down. This started with the president and was evident in each person I talked with. It just felt right.”

The transition to 21st Century Bank was exciting for the Ham Lake resident. “The opportunity to work close to home, at a bank invested in my community, was a driving factor in my decision to work at 21^st,” he said.

Outside of work, Justin is a dedicated family man, coaching his children’s sports teams and spending time in northern Minnesota at their family’s cabins. He values the northern suburbs’ sense of community, enjoying the balance of small-town charm and access to the Twin Cities’ amenities.
