In Memoriam – James (Jim) Lindberg

James (Jim) Lindberg, often referred to internally as JWL during his tenure with the Bank, started working at 21st Century Bank, Ham Lake location, in 1982 as a general lender. Over the years, he advanced to Senior Vice President and Chief Lender in the late 1990s. In recognition of his efforts in building the bank, he was appointed to the Bank’s Board of Directors in 2000. He retired as an officer of the bank on November 1, 2013, celebrated at a large gathering of customers, employees, and friends at the TPC Blaine. He remained on the 21st Century Bank Board of Directors for an additional 10 years after his retirement as an officer. His total association with 21st Century Bank, as an officer and director, spanned 41 years, from 1982 until his retirement as a Director in 2023.

During his career with the Bank, he was involved with numerous civic organizations, including the Ham Lake Lions Club, various Veterans Organizations, and Glen Cary Lutheran Church.

After retiring as an Officer, he served as Chair of the Appraisal Committee of the Board, a position he held until his tenure as a Director ended. His easy-going demeanor and devotion to his customers and friends drew people to him. Those who knew him well affectionately referred to him as “Pasta,” a nickname given for his love of spaghetti and Italian food.

A funeral gathering is set for Glen Cary Lutheran Church in Ham Lake, starting with visitation at 10:00 a.m., followed by an 11:00 a.m. service, on Monday, November 24, 2025.
